| 30 | Beaver Valley Road from Kewanna Drive to New Germany-Trebein Road |
2006-2010 | widen from 2 to 3 lanes. There is a big subdivisions going in at the southern end of this proposal, and lots of prime farmland which may become subdivision in the not-too-distant future. Providing room for a continuous left-turn lane makes plenty of sense. |
| 39 | Dayton-Xenia Road from Lynn Drive to Wallaby Drive |
2006-2010 | widen from 2 to 3 lanes. This is a woefully overdue proposal for the western end of DXR (Grange-Hall to Forestdale), which has many residences and small businesses. It's also woefully overdue from the Library to the Post Office for the same reason. |
| 40 | Dayton-Xenia Road from Wildonna Drive to Lynn Drive |
2006-2010 |
widen from 2 to 4 lanes with left turn lanes. The 2025 long range plan left out the turn lanes, so the new wording is much appreciated. An additional safety modification I'd recommend would be for a sidewalk along the north side of the street. There's a lot of seasonal pedestrian traffic from the local neighborhood that goes to a Dairy Queen along this stretch of DXR. The road from Wildonna across I-675 is already four lanes, the result of an unusually far-sighted decision on the part of Beavercreek planners back in the late 1970's. What I think they mean by starting the project at Wildonna is to make sure the road widens the instant it leaves the 675 bridge so that there can be proper left-turn lanes onto Stedman Lane and the bike path park. Latest TIP data indicates RoW to be purchased in 2007, with a construction start date sometime in 2009. |
| 48 | Grange-Hall Road/Shakertown Road intersection | 2006-2010 | Add left and right turn lanes for all movements and replace 4-way stop with signal. There are currently no turn lanes for any of the movements at this intersection, and it can back up quite a bit during rush hour. |
| 58C | Kemp Road from Montgomery County Line to North Fairfield Road |
2026-2030 | Widen from 2 to 3 lanes. A good start, but it doesn't go far enough between Lakeview Drive and North Fairfield Road. It needs to be 5 lanes there to help traffic getting off of North Fairfield. |
| 62 | National Road from Colonel Glenn Highway to Kaufman Avenue |
2006-2010 | widen from 2 to 3 lanes. Anyone who works on WPAFB area B would tell you that this won't be wide enough. Widen it to 5 lanes. Oh, and rename it to Grange-Hall Road while you're at it. People usually confuse this National Road with the much older one that goes through Vandalia. |
| 64A | North Fairfield Road/I-675 interchange | 2006-2010 | Add 1 southbound lane to overpass. Can't argue much with that |
| 64B | North Fairfield Road from Jonathan Drive to Shakertown Road |
2006-2010 | widen from 2 to 3 lanes. Definitely a good idea, but they might want to consider going a tad bit farther and making it 5 lanes. A lot of churches on Shakertown Road dump traffic onto this stretch of North Fairfield every Sunday, and there are several big subdivisions south of Shakertown. |
| 66A | New Germany-Trebein Road from Towne Drive to Big Woods Drive |
2006-2010 | widen from 3 to 5 lanes. A continous left-turn lane was recently added along this stretch, which helps some with the traffic going into and out of the mall district. |
| 66B | New Germany-Trebein Road from Grange-Hall Road to North Fairfield Road |
2006-2010 | widen from 2 to 5 lanes. I question the wisdom in building this project AFTER the project adding two left-turn lanes from Grange-Hall southbound to eastbound NGTR. I would have thought the widening should be done first. |
| 78B | Trebein Road from OH 235 to US 35 |
2006-2010 | widen from 2 to 3 lanes. This must be in anticipation of future subdivision growth, for the drive currently consists of a pleasant mix of farmland and widely-spaced luxury housing. I question the immediate need for this widening, not that it eventually needs to be done. |
| 352 | North Fairfield Road/I-675 Interchange | 2006-2010 | Widen northbound to allow two lane left-turn onto southbound 675. I don't know why this is a separate project from TIP #64A. The funding line appears to show a 2006 start for construction. |
| 401 | Wilmington-Dayton Road | 2006-2010 | Add a continuous left-turn lane from Bellemeade Drive to Centerville Station Road. This road is currently a two-lane arterial across the western edge of Bellbrook. The 15% grade dropping down to Centerville Station Road is going to be a problem on this project. |
| 405 | Access Road | 2006-2010 | Construct new road between Factory Road and Orchard Lane south of US 35. The long-overdue second access road to the Beeavercreek Soccer Park. Construction appears to be funded for a 2007 start. |
| 406 | Factory Road | 2006-2010 | Add a continuous left-turn lane from Indian Ripple Road to US 35. There aren't that many driveways along this stretch of Factory, and most of those that do exist are close to 35. The need for this project may be superseded by events such as a US 35/Factory Road interchange. |
| 408 | Indian Ripple Road/I-675 Interchange | 2003-2005 | Unspecified ramp improvements to existing interchange. This might have something to do with lengthening exit ramp length. |
| 409 | Indian Ripple Road From County Line Road to I-675 |
2006-2010 | Widen from 5 to 7 lanes. Thanks to the new mall being built at Indian Ripple and Stroop, this project will be obsolete before it's completed. |
| 523.2 | Indian Ripple Road/Darst Road | 2006-2010 | Add turn lane from eastbound Indian Ripple onto Darst. This will improve through traffic flow on Indian Ripple and help out anyone living in the growing number of subdivisions serviced by Darst. Construction slated for 2008. |
